I was born and raised in a Christian home in a small town in Central Pennsylvania. My family attended church as often as we could and served within the church in as many ways as we could. When I was 5, I remember my older sisters talking about how excited they were to go to Heaven someday. This sparked my interest and I wanted to go as well. My dad pulled me aside to explain the Gospel to me. During that conversation I realized the importance of the decision I was about to make. I realized that Christ died on the cross for my sin, even though I was completely undeserving of such a sacrifice. That day I asked Jesus to be my Lord and Savior. I remember the true joy I experienced knowing that someday I would get to spend eternity with my Lord.

As I continued to serve alongside my family in our local church, I began to live a double life. Many people in the church saw me as committed to serving Christ, but outside of the church I was not living for the Lord. I fell into sinful habits, allowing ungodly friendships to have a poor influence on my life. At the age of 15, that changed. An Evangelist came to our church and preached a message on showing Christ in the way you live your life. The Lord got a hold of my heart and I committed to live for God and surrender everything I had to Him. Since then God has continued to work in my life, growing my relationship with Him.

God has allowed me many opportunities to work in my church’s kids ministries through the remainder of my teen years, as well as the opportunity to be a counselor at Northland Camp this last summer. Through these opportunities God has taught me constant surrender to His will and trusting His perfect plan for my life. As my summer of counseling came to a close, God directed me towards joining the Frazor Evangelistic Team. I was reminded of Psalm 37:5 which talks about committing your way to the Lord, and trusting in Him. So as I follow the Lord’s direction with many unknowns, I choose to trust that His way is best. And I look forward with great anticipation to what the Lord will do in the upcoming year.
